Shelley has studied big cat behaviour, supported several conservation projects overseas and has an advanced certificate in feline behaviour and psychology with a diploma in big cat studies. This talk is ideal for schools or photography clubs where there is a special interest in wildlife conservation.
Shelley can give a presentation focusing on big cats, endangered wildlife and conservation issues with a look at the illegal pet trade, ivory poaching, wildlife trafficking, human-wildlife conflict and animals used for entertainment.
Includes power point presentation, videos and photographs with information on the work of some of the wildlife charities Shelley supports along with facts on big cats, endangered wildlife, wildlife quiz and a questions and answer session.
Shelley has visited and investigated for herself the so called 'rescue shelters' where big cats have been kept in terrible conditions or as a 'tourist attraction' in wildlife parks where they can be petted or hand fed in the name of conservation.
Through her experiences she is able to convey to the public the reality behind these types of tourist attractions which also includes elephant rides that many people innocently book when on holiday, without realising the animal suffering that goes on to provide this sort of entertainment.
A portion of Shelley's fee from this talk goes directly back into funding some of the big cat projects and charities she supports.
